Who We Are

Musa Masala is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization creating an internationally adventurous outdoor community focused on safe, healthy and culturally aware outdoor activities while prioritizing projects for healthcare and education in Nepal.

We are dedicated to working with everyone in the community to help create a vibrant, safe and challenging environment for indoor climbing in Nepal.

The Musa Masala Scholarship Program

Thanks to our supporters, we provide scholarships to Nepali students in medical and technical fields, and fund wilderness first responder and guiding courses for community-focused individuals.

Musa Masala is very excited to have created, along with the Himalayan Rescue Association, a new version of the altitude tips card that we have been providing to the HRA clinics since 2018.

Please welcome Ariadna Lucero, who we met through our friends at Extreme Medicine, the medical providers at Mt Aconcagua. Ariadna’s interest in the gastrointestinal issues of people living at higher altitudes or with difficult water supply systems links in with our patient population at the Wongchhu Sherpa Memorial Hospital, so we were excited to talk to her about her nutrition research. We’re honored she did this interview with us and hope to work together in the future as she is doing such important work.
